Ashley has her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health from Sam Houston State University. She has worked in a variety of settings and much of her past experience has been with domestic violence victims and clients who have undergone trauma. She also works with people struggling with depression, anxiety and relationship issues. She has a relational and integrative approach to therapy where she assists clients in connecting their past experiences and understanding how those affect our present. She also incorporates the polyvagal theory when treating clients with trauma. Ashley is also trained in EMDR to treat trauma and has seen great success when using this with clients. She finds using motivational interviewing techniques help people make meaningful changes and inspire hope. Ashley is passionate about developing a strong connection between therapist and client and is hopeful that this can be healing throughout each client’s therapeutic journey.
