Lauren graduated from Sam Houston State University with a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She is an LPC Associate under the supervision of Jennifer J. Cain, LPC-S, RPT-S. Lauren enjoys working with children, teens, and young adults. Lauren believes every person, regardless of their age, has their own unique experiences and hardships. However, no one should have to navigate through these difficulties on their own. Lauren utilizes non-directive play therapy and believes that play is powerful and beneficial for children. Lauren also utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with her non-play therapy clients. As a counselor, Lauren believes in collaboration with the individual and a person-centered approach.
